Designed to support educators at every stage of their careers, the Center offers innovative training, impactful conferences, and dynamic learning opportunities centered around research-based practices that advance the education profession.

To provide quality professional development, MEA partners with higher education institutes, non-profits, professional associations, and other state business and community leaders while leveraging the talents of our highly skilled professionals. 2025 Summer Conference

Make your plans now to join MEA’s first-ever hybrid Summer Conference on July 15-17. Sessions will be held in-person at MEA Headquarters on Tuesday and Wednesday, July 15-16, as well as via Zoom. Thursday, July 17 will be 100% virtual.

New MEA benefit offers
low-cost graduate credits

A new MEA offering allows members to earn up to nine post-graduate college credits per year for just $275 — and choose from a variety of online courses to address their professional development interests.

OPTIMISE: Opening the Pipeline of Talent Into Michigan’s Special Education

To address the shortage of special education professionals in Michigan, the Governor established OPTIMISE (Opening the Pipeline of Talent Into Michigan’s Special Education). OPTIMISE aims to effectively attract, prepare, and retain a qualified and diverse workforce in the state while lowering the job vacancy rate.
