Learn more about what to expect and how to register here. Candidates for this training need to be experienced negotiators with prior experience leading their local contract bargaining. In order to assure participants meet this requirement, confirmation needs to be provided by their current UniServ/Executive Director. Practicum training will involve a simulated negotiation performed by the participants – requiring the prerequisite skills and knowledge to analyze provided district financial information and bargaining unit cost information, write contract proposals, and manage “real time” decision-making among their team to strategize and determine best options to pursue during the simulation.
This training is provided at no cost to members in good standing, except for their hotel and evening meals should they require overnight stays. With only 24 spots available, it will be filled on a first-come first-served basis with a registration deadline of Friday, May 26.
