Human Rights and Excellence Awards

Each year MEA honors educators who have made a difference in the lives of students or their profession. MEA’s awards offer an opportunity to celebrate all MEA members whose dedication and commitment to educational excellence are clearly reflected in their work.

These members are the best resource public education has – dedicated, professional educators. Many of the awards were made in remembrance of a member who made a difference in educating lives of students or for our members.

To receive consideration, award nominations must be received by the MEA Awards Committee by the date indicated – awards are given on a rotating annual basis at MEA conferences and events. Click on each award to get a full description or make a nomination.
